Lessons:

Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis and other Upper Motor Neurone presentations:
Learn key assessment and treatment considerations in a range of neurological conditions depending on the cause and the individual client.
Areas to target treatment: strength, coordination and sensation. Tam expands on this with examples, including some manual therapy examples.

Parkinson’s Disease:
Learn to understand the gait presentation in Parkinson’s and how to treat.
Treatments covered include: task break down, dual tasking, Balance/retrain protective strategies, falls prevention, gait aids, verbal and visual cues, use of counting and rhythm, large amplitude movements, armswing and trunk rotation,

Foot-drop:
Learn and understand common causes of foot drop, and understand treatment approaches depending on the cause.
Treatments covered include: AFOs, Foot Up Devices and Bioness System (Functional Electrical Stimulation)

Duration: 2 hours (broken up into 6x 10-20 minute videos)
